Description
You trim your lawn in detail with the Makita DUR193Z string trimmer (without battery). Thanks to the tiltable head and telescopic tube, you can easily trim the parts of your lawn your lawn mower can't reach. The cordless string trimmer has a 26cm cutting width, so you can neatly trim large areas of grass and weeds. Thanks to the light weight of 2.3kg and the included carrying strap, you can carry the product without effort and take it everywhere. The DUR193Z is part of the Makita LXT 18V battery platform. Do you already have an 18V battery from the same battery platform? You can also use it for this machine.

Perfect device as expected from Makita
- fits well in the hand
- Does what you buy it for
- compatible with LXT
- no
Sometimes I don't understand the negative reactions that often give a wrong impression of a product. The Trimmer does what it was designed for. Mowing lawn edges and borders and that's it. If you want to attack thick bushes, you use a brush cutter. If you want to mow the lawn, you buy a lawn mower. The Dur 193Z fits very well in the hand, is not too heavy and the carrying strap is a nice extra but actually unnecessary. It is assembled in the blink of an eye. (Protective cover, handle and ready). Spare wire is included but it is not in a spool and has to be wound up manually. Very handy is that you can adjust the head so that you can work in different positions. Telescopic extension is also a convenience that I already discovered with the hedge trimmer. The only reason why I didn't buy an RT is because I already bought the charger and some extra batteries earlier. The only thing that surprised me a little was that this trimmer only works with one wire. But it certainly works no less well with it. That the thread would break as I sometimes read, has not happened to me yet. In short, the device works perfectly for me and is once again a perfect addition to my Makita LXT tools.

Review is 5,6 out of 10.
Regret this purchase
- Easy that it is with a Makita battery
- Wire comes off very easily.
Used once and thread has been completely shot off twice. Afterwards I had to tinker a lot to get the thread right again. Unfortunately, I didn't buy a heavier device without such a wire.

Review is 8,0 out of 10.
I have to get used to it.
- very light compared to my previous one
- no cord
- fits together quickly
- Replenishing thread is difficult
The length and weight are nice. It does what it is supposed to do. But in my round of the garden I lost all the thread 4 times and had to get the lid off the head. That takes quite a bit of force. Refilling the thread is not easy or I am not good at it. With my previous one I could hear when the thread got shorter. With this one I don't think I have that figured out yet. The thread in the spool was also quite stuck. Maybe that is why it is so difficult to replenish.
