Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar Black

The Bose Smart Ultra soundbar has many different sound reproductions and provides room-filling sound. Unfortunately, you can quickly see fingerprints and dust on the soundbar.

First impression I open the box and immediately see a shiny soundbar. I think this gives a modern look. I take it out of the box and find it a bit heavy. I grab it tightly and place it under the television. Unfortunately, I immediately see my fingerprints on the soundbar.

Installation Connecting to power and the television is easy. I set up the soundbar with the Bose Music app. In the app I see step by step what I have to do. The last step is an update and for me it takes about fifteen minutes. You use the soundbar when the update is ready. You will then hear a short melody as if a movie is about to start.

Usage I mainly control the soundbar with the Bose Music app. Here I personalize the sound. For example, I turn up the bass and enable AI Dialogue. I use the remote control to connect my mobile phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth. When I listen to music from my smartphone, I also control the volume with my smartphone. While listening, I can adjust the sound in the app.

Sound The soundbar fills my room with full and powerful sound. The sound sounds spacious and I experience films more realistically. With AI Dialogue, voices are amplified, so I understand them better. This is also nice with music, because I hear vocals more clearly. This gives music more depth. Truespace ensures that you always hear spatial sound, even with films and music without Dolby Atmos support. I do indeed hear spatial sound in YouTube videos. However, the spatial 3D effect is less strong than with Dolby Atmos.

SimpleSync SimpleSync allows me to easily add the Bose QuietComfort headphones to the soundbar. In the Bose app I create a group with the headphones and soundbar via Bluetooth. I now hear sound from the soundbar and headphones. I control the volume separately in the app. For example, I turn the sound bar off and the headphones up. I then enjoy the film alone, undisturbed. The sound from the headphones is realistic. It feels like I'm in the movie myself. This only works with Bose headphones. I use the Bose QuietComfort Headphones.

Bought this with the 700 subwoofer, which was quite good, but after the addition of the 700 surround speakers, this is much better than my old Sonos set!

Easy to install, on the arc. Always good sound. Film is a completely different experience
