According to our receiver expert
The receiver supports stereo sound, so you hear room-filling sound.
Thanks to the phono connector, you can connect your record player to the receiver.
You can listen to music from your smartphone via Bluetooth connection.
The receiver doesn't support images.
I connected the amplifier to two KEF Q350 speakers. The sound is beautiful and clear. The connection options are numerous (note: no HDMI) and it's truly designed for music lovers. This amplifier has 4 digital inputs (2x COAX and 2x Optical) and 5 analog inputs (CD, 3x Line in, and Phono). It also has 2 analog outputs, allowing you to record various sources on your MiniDisc or cassette recorder for true old-school vibes. Internet radio and my own CDs stored on my NAS can be streamed without any problems.
The only thing that's a bit disappointing is the DAB+ reception. While I can easily receive many DAB multiplexes with inexpensive portable radios, the Yamaha next to the window struggles considerably. The included antenna doesn't pick up the national 9C multiplex (which broadcasts Sublime, among others), even though that ensemble comes in incredibly strong on the portable radio. I also tried a special outdoor antenna instead of the supplied one, but that didn't offer much improvement. Finding your favorite DAB radio station is also quite a task; the stations are randomly arranged, not alphabetically.
So, aside from the (DAB) tuner, I'm very satisfied with the amplifier.

I compared this AV receiver to the Marantz 70s and Denon PMA 900HNE. While both offer excellent sound, the Yamaha's sound is richer and warmer for my taste. Furthermore, it's purely for my hi-fi system, and I won't be setting up a surround setup, meaning many features of both the Marantz and Denon remain unused. Add to that the fact that the Yamaha also supports my cassette deck—yes, it still works, and I'm listening to tapes.

It is easy to install and produces a good sound straight away through all input material. All in 1 in terms of connection options. Image quality does not apply as there is no HDMI. Purely for music
