This economical and sturdy built-in dishwasher rinses stubborn stains quietly and quickly. Thanks to AutoDos, I no longer have to dose dishwasher tablets.
First impression
At first glance, this dishwasher looks very user-friendly. The handles feel sturdy and have a luxurious finish. On the control panel I find touch buttons that allow me to easily choose from the 11 available programs. The keys respond quickly to my touch; no need to press hard. I also see a button to shorten programs. This Express option halves the duration of some programs, although the dishwasher does use slightly more energy.
Layout
This dishwasher has both a cutlery drawer and a cutlery basket. I put larger serving spoons and spatulas in the cutlery drawer, which is height-adjustable, so even a soup spoon fits. My knives, forks and teaspoons go in the cutlery basket. This basket is also removable, which is useful to make room for extra plates or a pan. After I have loaded all the dishes, I can smoothly roll the lower basket back into the dishwasher thanks to the mounted wheels.
Energy efficient
This Miele dishwasher starts with the Eco program as standard, which although it takes the longest - 3 hours and 57 minutes - is the most energy-efficient way to rinse my dishes. A nice detail is that both energy and water consumption are clearly visible on the display, which helps to save on my energy bill. If I want clean dishes faster, I choose the Express option, which shortens the program time to 2 hours and 48 minutes. This option can be applied to all programs, although the reduction varies per program. For a really short duration, I choose the QuickPowerWash program, which gets my dishes clean and dry in just 58 minutes. Useful!
AutoDos
There is a recess in the door of the dishwasher for a PowerDisk capsule. This capsule contains enough dishwasher detergent for 20 washes, so I don't have to look for dishwasher cubes every evening. There is also a lid for normal dishwasher tablets, but I prefer the convenience of automatic dosing.
Extra quiet
Now that I have run several programs, I can conclude that this dishwasher is quiet in use. I hear the water gently rinsing, but it doesn't distract me during my favorite series on TV. I also have conversations without any problems while working from home. Because I connected the dishwasher to my phone via Miele@Home, I receive a push notification as soon as the program is finished. This is especially useful because this dishwasher does not have a floor projection. At the end of the program I hear a signal, so that I know that everything is clean, even without a phone.
