BlueBuilt Ultra Slim Wall Mount 32 - 55 inches

Good wall mount that is quite easy to install. In the package you will find various bolts and washers for any different televisions. The television is very close to the wall and that gives a very clean look.

Do not forget to connect any cables in advance and guide them with tape to the desired point, because you will probably no longer be able to reach them and will have to (temporarily) remove the television again. That's doable, but not so much fun if you have a very large television. It is best to place the television with two people because then you can see what you are doing.

Holy moly. Don't buy this, because this wall mount is such a disappointment. It looks fine on the website, but once you get started, you need quite a bit of creative DIY knowledge to make it work properly.

-- First of all, the manual:

• Talks about all sorts of details, but gives you a postage-stamp-sized overview photo.

• "Just pick out a set of screws that fits, there are plenty in bag A."

• "Do you have space left? Then put a washer in between." BETWEEN WHAT? Bracket and TV? Bracket and screw?

• The manual talks about using the drilling template, but shows a photo of the wall mount being used.

• If you follow the measuring instructions, your TV will hang 2-4cm lower than the manual claims. There needs to be at least 10cm of space above your Sonos Arc soundbar. From CoolBlue, you get 6cm. They say you have to measure up to the holes, but be smart and measure to the center of the holes (~4cm high), so add 2cm.

-- Next, you’ve struggled through this miserable paperwork and get to work. Measured the height, and immediately added the extra 2cm. Turns out the spirit level INSIDE THE BRACKET is just completely CROOKED. Put a real spirit level on it: see the photo. What a joke. Right, we solved that too with a real spirit level. The bracket is hanging. Straight! And at the right height! YES! Next step.

-- Put the TV on it! No wait, be smart and plug your cables into your TV first. Try securing them in the cable holders of the wall bracket: in my case, the cables fell out again immediately. Wrapped a zip tie around them. CoolBlue really could have tested that themselves and included it. Anyway, time to hang the TV on the wall! CLICK!

-- Hm.

The TV is tilting back a bit. The brackets on the back of my TV needed a little washer somewhere after all. Fine, we'll fix that when there's a bit of positive energy again next year. Just a quick check with the spirit level on the TV: almost straight! Fortunately, the bracket has adjustment screws. An Allen key is included, so this should work. Inserting the key: what a joke. The Allen key is cold and is only 10cm. My TV is the minimum size for this bracket, 55", and I just can't get to the bolts properly with this Allen key. After all, the bracket is 1.8cm thick! Off to the garage, and looking for an Allen bit for the screwdriver bit. 20cm is the minimum you need to adjust this.

-- YES! It's hanging! Sturdy! Straight (enough)! Connected! Now for the finishing touches! After all, there are magnets in the ends of the cords. Oh, but wait, I have to clip those onto the bracket to 'hide' them. And the bracket is 1.8cm thick. And I'm no gnome. No matter what I try—feeling blindly, throwing, swinging—I can't get those magnets clipped on anywhere. Now it looks like my TV has two black tampons inside. .. ..

-- CoolBlue. I feel ripped off, sad, and you make me feel like the manual was written by an office tiger. and no one who has ever done anything with a screwdriver has assembled and tested this themselves.

-- But the plugs were Fischer DuoPower. That thing is never coming off the wall again.

The wall bracket does what it should do! Tight to the wall. Just don't trust the spirit level and use your own spirit level! There is a deviation. The assembly is simple and self-explanatory (the manual is good!)

You do need 3 people to hang it up with a 55 inch TV. There are 2 strings to lock the TV. But you have to pull them down and when you are holding a TV. This felt better to us than letting go of the TV with one hand. Our TV hung level immediately and therefore did not need the adjustment screws. But these are so deeply hidden on our LG TV that you cannot possibly adjust them. This is certainly not possible with the supplied Allen key.

The quality of the screws could be better.
