According to our audio streamer expert
Hear every detail: you can hear every detail in your favorite music thanks to the 24-bit sound quality.
Rich wireless sound: you can stream music without quality loss thanks to the WiFi support.
Connect quickly without WiFi: use the audio streamer with any device and without WiFi thanks to Bluetooth support.
No Spotify Connect: this streamer doesn't support Spotify Connect.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the weight of the Wiim Pro Plus. It is very light and even feels a bit plasticky. But of course you don't notice that once it is on the cabinet. And I understand that they have to cut corners somewhere for this very competitive price. No display, but of course you know that in advance. You have to buy the more expensive Ultra for that.
What is a huge plus is that all cables are simply included. Adapter, USB-C, RCA, and optical SPDIF. I left the remote control packed because you control it via an app anyway, and volume control is done on the receiver in my case.
Everything connected, network cable in, Wiim app opened. It found the device immediately. And what a relief: No account required to use this device! Immediately linked all my streaming services: Spotify (boo, still no Hi Res!), Qobuz, Plex, and TuneIn. This also all went smoothly from the first time.
The Wiim app is easy to use and very clear. Searching for an artist or album automatically searches all linked streaming services. Browsing through the different services is also smooth. Playlists or favorites can simply be found.
Furthermore, you can set the sound completely to your liking: How the DAC should behave, EQ, even Room Correction. I just left it completely on Flat, let the DAC do its work and send it analog to my A/V Receiver. Finally Hi Res sound through the speakers!

We use the device to stream Spotify and TuneIn Radio to an (excellent) 40-year-old Sony amplifier and quad speakers. We no longer use any other program sources. The most work involved turning off program sources we weren't using and disabling features on the box we didn't use. The sound it produces is beyond our expectations, and it's equally easy to use.

The Wii M has given me a nice upgrade from my existing amplifier and good speakers. It works better than a somewhat simpler Bluetooth adapter I had before, and the connection is more stable. It's also handy that you can control the volume via (the app on) your device.
