Poly Voyager Surround 80 UC Office Headset

The Poly Voyager Surround 80 UC Office Headset is a nice office headset for home and the office. I connect it easily to my phone or laptop via Bluetooth and use the active noise cancellation for good focus. After a long workday, my head does get a bit sore because the headband pinches.

First Impression

This office headset comes in a fabric case, which protects it well against bumps and scratches. I find the headset large, but it has a nice premium lifestyle design. Before using the headset, I charge it for about an hour. The ear cushions are soft and comfortable, even with earrings in. To connect the headset, I push the slider on the earcup to the B until I hear ‘Pairing’. At the same time, I see the headset appear on my phone. So, this is quick and smooth.

Ideal for Microsoft Teams There is a special Teams button on the right earcup. When I click on this, the Teams app on my laptop opens automatically. I also control the headset via touch. For example, I answer a call by tapping briefly once in the middle. Furthermore, there is no physical microphone arm on the headset, as the microphones are integrated into the earcups. This ensures nothing gets in the way when I take a sip of water.

Good sound quality and noise cancelling In my opinion, this office headset has good sound quality when I listen to my music. You shouldn't expect perfect bass, but for a song during work hours, this Poly is more than suitable. The noise cancelling works well, allowing me to effectively shut myself off from ambient sounds. If I do want to hear something, I can easily switch the headset to transparent sound mode. When I take the headset off, the music pauses automatically. I really like this.

Handy Poly Lens App With the Poly Lens App, I can easily adjust settings. This includes noise cancelling and volume. I also perform any updates and can immediately see how much battery my headset has left. Thanks to the location function of this headset, I can always find it quickly.
