Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PS5

Best cod in years

After some deliberation, I decided to get Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for the PlayStation 5. Let's get straight to the point; I haven't regretted it for a second!

Compared to the previous part, Modern Warfare 3, this is a breath of fresh air. The menus are clear and well-organized and the old weapon system is back. By playing a lot with a weapon, you unlock new attachments and other extras and you are not forced to play with weapons that you don't like. Above you can clearly see what you unlocked and when. You can also level up to 55 no less than 10 times and then go Prestige. Each time you are then reset with the items that you have unlocked, but you do keep some cool Prestige rewards.

In addition to the multiplayer, the game also has a more spy-op campaign mode, zombie mode and you can soon go wild with Warzone.

The graphics are nice, but more can be squeezed out of the PlayStation 5. Although you don't really notice this given the fast gameplay. As for the latter, Black Ops 6 has a new trump card in its hand with omni-directional movement. This means that you can quickly dive and move in all directions. You notice that people still have to get used to this, but you see it more and more often in the multiplayer maps. And nothing is as cool as hitting an enemy while jumping through the air, turning halfway and firing a few shots.

The maps are certainly cool but still lack the 'wow' factor. They are definitely not bad maps, but there are no real classics among them yet. The first update with three new maps will be coming very soon, so fortunately this will continue to be supplemented.

If you have put Call of Duty on the back burner, partly due to the previous, poorly received, parts, this is the moment that rekindled my love for the series, and that is nice in these cold days.
