After 11 years of the EU boom (1st generation) it was time for an upgrade. The new boom 4. First impression: it is a lot bigger and the build quality looks less solid. Cheaper finish. Sound is good. Fuller and more detailed than the 1st generation. But when you turn on the hotspot on your phone, the trouble starts. Then the boom 4 interferes like crazy. Very annoying. The 1st generation boom and all our other headphones and speakers do not do this. Very unfortunate. We are sending it back, because we use the speaker when we work outside the home.
