I've had the gas stove in the kitchen for a month now. The burners work fantastically; even frying an egg is easier. My previous stove didn't have enough difference between the maximum and minimum settings, which meant things burned easily. Cleaning is easy, as long as you do it immediately after use.
The oven is pleasant to use and does what it's supposed to do.
However, I do have a few comments about the oven. First of all: it's a shame that Smeg only includes one rack. More annoying: according to Smeg, the stove comes with a baking tray. That's not true. What's included is a shallow roasting pan that has a depression toward the center. It's almost invisible in photos, but if you know it, you can just see it. Why would that be a problem? The tray isn't flat. I sometimes bake large sheet pans, and they wobble on the serving platter because the baking tray is concave. If you were to bake cookies and try to brush them with egg yolk, it would run off one side. Honestly, it seems like Smeg doesn't know anything about baking, and that surprises me. But I checked: Smeg doesn't offer a baking tray for this model. So I had to make another investment and bought a proper baking tray from another brand, which is also a bit deeper than the supplied drip tray. I simply place that baking tray on a wire rack. My conclusion: it's a really nice stove, but if I had known beforehand that it didn't come with a baking tray, I probably would have chosen a different brand. But for people who don't bake much, this shouldn't be a problem. Hence my rating of 4 stars.
