Philips Sonicare 7100 Series HX7420/01 White

After years of manual brushing and a less pleasant experience with an electric toothbrush from another brand, I decided to try out the Philips Sonicare. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I am very satisfied. This toothbrush really gives a clean feeling after brushing, something I never quite achieved with manual brushing.

As for the extra functions: the settings on the toothbrush do not seem to make much difference to me and mainly seem to adjust the brushing time, which I find a bit redundant. The accompanying app adds little value to me; I do not notice that it really contributes to my brushing routine. Still, I am very happy with the Philips Sonicare, especially because my teeth feel cleaner and my gums seem less sensitive.

This toothbrush cleans your teeth well! The sound takes some getting used to, I used to brush with another brand before. The sound of this toothbrush seems supersonic. A big plus is the battery life: I've been brushing for 2 weeks without having to charge it! In addition, it does its job well, my teeth are cleaned well and you have many different options. For example, you can choose 'gum health' where you brush longer and the app shows you which segments you should brush. The guidance in the app is disappointing: you only get feedback on whether you brush long enough and whether you don't press too hard in general. I had hoped that I would also get feedback on which parts I should brush better, for example. Because of this, I actually don't use the app anymore. Because the toothbrush itself also indicates when you have brushed long enough. All in all a good toothbrush, but I wouldn't buy it specifically for the app. But definitely for the battery!

I have been using the Sonicare for a week now and I am more than satisfied with it. This is my first electric toothbrush, I never really thought it was necessary, because I thought that with good brushing my teeth would stay good. However, I do have a lot of tartar. The Sonicare is comfortable to hold and because of the rectangular brush it is just like old-fashioned brushing. Very nice. The first few days I had to get used to the vibration because I am not used to it :). There are settings for the strength of the brushing and settings for whitening, sensitive and cleaning, among other things. What the difference is, is not entirely clear to me. I did not want to install the app but I did it anyway, it keeps track of how long you brush and how often and when the brush head needs to be replaced. For the price, I think more brush heads could have been included. Just like a colored ring because we use the device with 2 people. I think the battery life is fine, I charged it before the first use and it is still almost full. The weight of the toothbrush with brush head is also fine. Nothing too heavy. The travel case that comes with it is also very sturdy.

All in all I am very pleased with the Philips Sonicare.
