soundcore Sport X20 Green

Definitely recommended. Good noise cancelling (handy for vacuuming!), sound & microphone. Don't fall out of your ears. Great battery life, but if you want to use them all day with noise cancelling on, you have to put them in the case a few times a day. No problem, because after 5 minutes of charging you have another 2 hours of use. Top product!

I recommend that you download the Soundcore app when you buy it. This also arranges the firmware updates of the product, so any software errors that they have fixed in the meantime can also be automatically solved on your device with a firmware update. Super simple by the way, after installing the app it automatically recognizes the connected device and you can start the firmware update with 1 push of a button. I did this immediately after purchase and therefore never had any problems.

After problems started to arise with my 4+ year-old Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, it was time for something new. I read numerous reviews and forums and ultimately decided on the Soundcore Sport X20 as the most suitable replacement for my previous earbuds. Coincidentally, they were on sale, so I took a chance and ordered them.

Once they arrived, I immediately unpacked them and put them on. It took some trial and error at first, trying out which earbud size fit best. After a bit of trial and error, it turned out that the default size (M) that comes with them was the best fit for me.

I then immediately installed the Soundcore app on my phone. Pairing was quick and easy. Once paired, you get access to the settings, from where you can quickly and easily personalize the earbuds to your liking.

What surprised me most, in a good way, was the "HearID Sound" feature. Man, this works great! This consists of a few tests in which some sounds are played and you're asked if you can hear the sound. You might need to turn it up or down a bit here and there, and finally, you'll hear a few audio samples, giving you the option to choose the one that best suits your preferences; the one you prefer. By following these steps, you'll truly get sound that's literally born from your own desires. You're not stuck with EQ where someone else has determined how and which frequencies are reproduced (which, of course, is possible if you prefer). This makes the sound you get truly unique and personal! A great feature! If you'd like to create your own EQ preset, that's also possible.

The sound is also fantastic while working out at the gym. Although my experience with ANC is very limited/low, I can say that it works well. Music playing in the gym, the noise of other machines people are using, or people talking in the background are not bothersome. Bass from the surroundings is particularly well-dampened. I do notice that higher frequencies, in particular, still come through the ANC very slightly. As mentioned, I don't have experience with top-tier ANC devices, so I don't know if this is normal or if it's a no-go/potential drawback when it comes to ANC. On a different note, it's also nice that the earbuds have an IP68 rating, so you don't have to worry about your earbuds breaking if you sweat profusely while exercising. The hooks on the earbuds ensure they stay securely in place and don't vibrate out of your ears during your workout, whether on the treadmill or elliptical. This was a problem with my previous earbuds, and it's annoying having to re-insert the earbuds every five minutes because you're afraid they'll fall out.

When walking outdoors, it might be a good idea to disable ANC and turn on Transparency mode instead. This amplifies ambient noise, allowing you to hear what's happening around you. This is convenient if you're walking outdoors and need to cross the street, allowing you to hear what's happening around you. However, I do have one minor complaint. Maybe it's just me, but when it's windy, the wind can be quite distracting, given the microphones in the earbuds, which might pick up a bit too much. You can, of course, enable ANC and Wind Noise Cancellation, but I don't think it's entirely safe for outdoor walking. So, if you're an avid outdoor athlete, it might be worth keeping this in mind.

Furthermore, the battery life of this device is more than adequate. They last so long that I sometimes wonder if there's a software bug that's causing the battery to still be quite full. However, that's not the case, and these earbuds and case simply offer a very long playtime on a full charge. Charging is also incredibly fast (5 minutes of charging = 2 hours of playtime). Wireless charging is missing, which some might find a drawback. For me, it's not a problem, as I have a charging station where we charge all our devices at home. There's always a cable available to charge the earbuds, and it's incredibly fast.

Finally, this isn't necessarily a deal-breaker, but if you want the case to stay pristine, it's recommended to put a case on it. These are available for just a few euros from various online stores.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with the Soundcore Sport X20. The earbuds perform well above my expectations in terms of sound quality, ergonomics/comfort, looks, software, and of course, the battery life is incredibly long!

I find these earbuds convenient for walking and exercising. The noise canceling feature works really well. Even with the smallest tip, I still don't find them very comfortable for smaller ear canals/earcups. They do start to hurt after a while, so they're not earbuds I can wear for hours. But for my purpose, the gym, they're perfectly fine, and they're a good price.
