Experience with the Philips 3000 series air fryer, type NA342/00, and accessory sets First impressions and ease of use The appliance immediately makes a good impression with its sturdy design and modern look. Thanks to the glass window and the light switch, it's easy to quickly check the food during cooking, which contributes to its ease of use. Another definite plus is that the container and basket are dishwasher safe. I highly recommend using the grill set and baking pan. The grill plate, especially for meatballs, is fantastic! The baking pan is ideal for frying bacon or baking cakes, for example. And just like the air fryer container and basket, they're also dishwasher-safe. Cooking options With no fewer than 16 different cooking methods, the air fryer offers plenty of freedom of choice, especially for those who enjoy adding variety to their cooking. In practice, we mainly used the air fryer mode, but its versatility is impressive. I'll have to look into it further, but for convenience' sake, I'm using the standard temperature and time list I used with my previous air fryer. However, I do notice that preheating isn't necessary, and everything comes out faster and better than with my previous air fryer.

Capacity and Performance The generous capacity is particularly convenient for preparing larger portions, making the appliance suitable for families or groups. As I mentioned above, preheating isn't necessary. I think the shake alarm is a huge added bonus!

Cons The appliance is quite large; it sits on my countertop. But since I use it daily, sometimes even several times a day, I don't mind.

If you put the container in the dishwasher and take it out, there's still quite a bit of water in the space between them. With my previous air fryer, it was a complete container with no openings. Another drawback is that the container isn't on rails. When you take it out, it practically falls out of the air fryer. The advantage of a rail is that the hot pan/container doesn't end up on the countertop. However, you do need to be careful, especially if you have a countertop where you're not allowed to place hot pans. Using a wooden cutting board solves this, but personally, I find it a drawback.

I also struggle with the touch controls. They don't work perfectly for me, but I've come to the conclusion that's my fault. The rest of the family doesn't have any problems with them, though.

I know that manuals aren't included anymore, but I still find it a shame. That's why I printed them out. I find paper more convenient, and you can also make notes.

Conclusion All in all, this air fryer is a solid and valuable kitchen aid that excels in ease of use, versatility, and capacity.
