We use the lamps in "white light" mode with color temperatures between 2500K and 3200K. 2700K works best with lamps with a fixed color temperature. I wouldn't use them in the living room because the color of lamps with a fixed color temperature is slightly more intense. Something you can't achieve with these lamps.
