I bought this to dry laundry for which it is well suited. A few hours at full strength, can dry a full rack of laundry. The unit looks nice, is easy enough to operate and the lower settings are pretty quiet. At full blast it's pretty loud, but still quiet enough to work next to if necessary.
The main downside is a bug with the night mode. The night mode is very quiet, but it randomly switches to full speed after a few hours and then stays in that setting until you turn the machine off. This makes it completely useless, since the sudden noise will almost certainly wake you up, and force you out of bed.
It still works fine for drying laundry, but it's an annoying bug if you plan to have it on for long amounts of time at low strength. It seems like the machine can be updated remotely, so maybe they can fix this with a software patch.
