GARDENA smart SILENO Free 1500

No more days of dreading mowing my lawn. The Sileno Free is low-maintenance and has no additional costs. I can comfortably read a book while my robotic lawnmower does the work. In rain, sun, or wind. It doesn't matter. It's quiet and can be controlled at any time via the smart app. If I connect via Bluetooth, I can even operate the robotic lawnmower. The battery is very powerful and I've never experienced a battery drain while mowing. I can also adjust the cutting length within certain parameters. I always choose the shortest length. The robotic lawnmower also has a large stop button, perhaps in case of emergency. The connection is good and doesn't drop out. I was hesitant about that, since I have a spacious garden. I would have liked a few more accessories, which are sold separately but not included. The money is more than worth it.

What a fantastic device! Setting up the app and connecting to Wi-Fi and satellite went very smoothly. Despite the considerable distance, I quickly got a good, stable connection. This part of the setup was done in no time. What did take a very long time, however, was creating a map. First, the manual isn't clear on how to do this. Later, I received photos from customer service, and then it suddenly became clear. The second reason it takes a long time is that you have to control the mower yourself with your phone and guide it along the border, creating points from which a map is then created. With 1500 m², that takes quite a while. On the other hand, you no longer have to bury a cable, which is much more work, heavier, and less easy to adjust. Once the entire installation is complete, the rest is a breeze. The app is very easy to use. You create a mowing schedule or turn it on manually. How wonderful not to have to mow anymore. We can see exactly where it's mowing via our vacation address. No more overgrown grass after a vacation. It sounds too good to be true, but after just one week, we had greener grass and much less moss. I should have gotten this machine long ago!

It's fantastic that mowing is now automatic. I'd wanted a robot mower before, but I wasn't keen on burying a wire. Connecting to the app was incredibly fast. I was amazed at how far the Wi-Fi, hub, and satellite can go. Creating the map was a bit tricky, though. It only worked after Gardena's customer service team sent me some good photos. They could have added these to the instructions. And even though it was clear how to do it then, it was time-consuming. Once everything is set up, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the mower mowing your lawn. Even from our vacation spot, we could monitor and control the mower. After a short time, the grass is noticeably greener, and we have less moss. I highly recommend this machine!
