ECOVACS GOAT 0500 Panorama

Definitely not recommended. This robot still needs a lot of work. Navigation is useless. Robot never finds its charging location and permanently gets stuck in preset no-go zones. Forgets to mow half the garden because it thinks it is outside the perimeter. This O-series still needs a lot of improvement before it can compete with a robot with perimeter wire.

I have been using the Ecovacs GOAT O500 Panorama for a few weeks now, and so far I am very satisfied. The fact that the installation was wireless and fast was a big plus for me. Within fifteen minutes the mower was already driving independently through my garden. The navigation is impressively good; it mows neatly along the edges and around obstacles.

After continuous problems with a mower with perimeter wire, I delved into the new mowers without wire. After many hours of research, I decided to go for the GOAT. Certainly for the then unbeatable price/quality ratio! Given that our lawn is about 430m2, the o500 should be sufficient. Installation was quickly arranged, but from the start it had trouble with its limits. It continuously drove over it with all the consequences: getting stuck in gravel, mowing curbs, getting stuck under bushes, etc. etc. After following all the advice from Coolblue and Ecovacs, unfortunately I had to return the mower. In the meantime, I purchased another brand that performs exactly as promised! A success without any problems after the first mowing. And that with apparently less technology, but apparently much better. Perhaps the GOAT o500 works well in a well-screened and more 'right-on' garden.
