With the new Braun hair clipper, you can cut your hair to 17 different lengths. It's wise not to deviate too far from the set length, as a difference of just a few centimeters can be painful. Varying the length is easy with a slider. The Braun hair clipper comes with two different combs: 3mm to 24mm and 14mm to 35mm.

During testing, I was struck by how quiet the device is. It's no louder than an electric toothbrush. What's especially nice is that this hair clipper is cordless and waterproof. You can take it with you into the bathroom, use it in all conceivable positions without being bothered by the cord, and easily charge it after use. Unfortunately, the charging cord isn't USB-C but a dedicated port: another extra cord in your bathroom cabinet. If there's ever an update, a USB-C port would be absolutely perfect!

The Braun HC5530 is a solid and easy-to-use hair clipper with a sleek, timeless black design. Thanks to the three attachment combs, you can effortlessly choose different hair lengths, making it suitable for a variety of styles. During testing, I found the device trims smoothly and precisely, without hesitation or pulling. It fits comfortably in the hand and feels robust. The memory lock button is intended to lock the length setting, but I personally don't find it essential. Selecting the right setting is quick and hassle-free. The battery has a long runtime and charges quickly. All in all, a solid hair clipper that does what it promises, with a stylish appearance as an added bonus.
