Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Prestige 9900 HX9992/44

I think the Philips Sonicare Prestige HX9992/12 is a nice electric toothbrush. The toothbrush exudes luxury and the accompanying app makes it even more personal. However, you only see the brushing data when you are connected to the toothbrush.

Personal toothbrush Philips electric toothbrushes are not unfamiliar territory for me. I used to brush with the Philips Diamond Clean. So I'm used to the vibration intensity of the Philips electric toothbrushes. Before I started using the toothbrush, I had high hopes for this toothbrush. I was very curious about the accompanying app. The pairing went very quickly and I could immediately get started with brushing.

The toothbrush also features the new SenseIQ technology, which automatically adjusts the brushing mode as soon as you scrub your gums, for example. This prevents your gums from bleeding when you use a setting that is too hard. What I also like is that the app has many different functions. For example, the app guides you while brushing your teeth and allows you to set different brushing programs.

Luxury design and storage pouch The toothbrush is a real eye-catcher in the bathroom. It has a luxurious design and fits comfortably in the hand while brushing. The toothbrush is light in weight and slim in shape. Since I'm about to go on vacation, I find it very useful that it comes with a storage pouch. Just like the toothbrush, the storage case has a luxurious look. You can easily charge it in the storage pouch via the included USB cable. I like that, because that way you can leave the charging point at home when you spend the night somewhere else.

View data At the end of each week, I see an overview in which I receive feedback about my brushing behaviour. In this I see, for example, in which places I should brush better and where I should press softer with the brush. Handy, because that way you work towards a clean brushing result. What is a drawback, however, is that you only see the data when the toothbrush is not stored or is in the charging point. For example, it is not possible to show your dentist your brushing data.

Brushing with an electric toothbrush was last with me years ago, this was a brush with round head. It was not a success, I brushed too hard and my gums hurt everywhere so I went back to a regular toothbrush. But my dental hygienist keeps nagging about dental plaque and electric brushing so I started to look into it because persistence wins. I was shocked by the prices, not only of the toothbrush but also the attachments and especially the toothbrushes that can be connected. When I recovered from that, I immediately bought the newest, this version. And no regrets, I'm still sad when the cleaning is done. It takes some getting used to but I put the brush against my molars and teeth and do not much more and less than holding and moving after a vibration. I haven't brushed perfectly 1x yet, there is always a piece not done right, but what a difference with before in terms of clean and smooth and white and sense. Not even a second of pain in my gums. The app is indeed annoying if it has no connection because then you get on your head that you don't brush every day, it would be nice if this happens in the background. But I look into it a lot and really benefit from the tips and the poorly polished spots. I prefer to clean in the shower, at the sink there is often a lot of stuff in my neck, but maybe this will become less one day. And now we just have to wait and see what they say at the dentist in September, I'm curious! I have not used the case yet, I have charged the toothbrush 1x (the manual states that you have to do this for 14 hours the first time). What I also find useful is that the percentage of the battery is shown in the app. I think less that the toothbrush stops 2x per brushing, 1x before switching sides and also when the time is up. And I prefer to do the latter myself.

It takes some getting used to the strong vibration, but after a few brushings you're used to it. Easy to brush with the Sonicare app. This keeps track of where you brush and how well you brush the zone. If you put too much pressure on the brush, a light will burn at the bottom. Easy to carry in the luxurious pouch. My teeth feel smooth after brushing and by following the app you won't miss a tooth! In short, perfectly brushed teeth in 2 minutes!
