Despite the earbuds' open-ear design, I don't hear much of my surroundings. In the office, I can't hear other people typing. When someone talks to me, I don't realize they're talking to me. I hear voices, but I can't understand what's being said. Unfortunately, these earbuds lack a strong bass. This causes the sound to lack some depth, making house and techno sound less vibrant. I sometimes want to turn up the earbuds' volume higher than it should. As it is, the music doesn't fully come through. I can hear others around me hearing my music. Therefore, I wouldn't use these earbuds in a quiet room.
