The Pierre PFC5000 Chopper is a compact, lightweight chopper for quick chopping in the kitchen. Thanks to the non-slip rubber base, it stays firmly on the countertop and does not shift while chopping. However, it does not come with an extra mixing bowl. I have to clean the mixing bowl for multiple preparations.
Ease of Use
The Pierre PFC5000 is easy to assemble and operate. I choose from 2 settings, depending on how finely I want to chop. The measurement markings on the side of the mixing bowl are handy for measuring ingredients directly. So, for my test, I did not need a separate cup to measure liquids. However, I do not get an extra mixing bowl with this chopper. Do you often make multiple portions at once? Then I would go for the Pierre PFC7000 chopper with extra measuring cups.
Easy and Fast
With the Pierre PFC5000 Chopper, I chop small quantities of vegetables, nuts, pieces of cheese, herbs, or onion. Ideal for quick, small portions that I want to chop finely, without having to grab a large food processor. For my test, I made pesto. I put all the ingredients in the mixing bowl and within 30 seconds I had the smooth mixture I wanted. During chopping, the chopper stays stable thanks to the non-slip base, so I didn't have to hold it. The chopper has a sleek, compact design and sits neatly on the countertop. But because it is light and compact, I also easily store it in a kitchen cupboard.
Cleaning
All removable parts can go in the dishwasher. I washed them by hand myself. The blade attachment does not click onto the mixing bowl with a magnet and sits loosely inside. When opening and cleaning, I have to be careful not to drop the blade. There are no awkward corners in the mixing bowl, so parts are clean and ready for use again in no time.
