Tefal AeroSteam DT9820

I first tested the Aerosteam on a T-shirt that had just come off the drying rack. The shirt was so wrinkled that I couldn't bring myself to wear it. After reading the short but clear instructions, I filled the water tank. A full tank lasts about 8 minutes. Then I plugged it in; luckily, the cord is more than long enough. The Aerosteam needs to preheat first, but this only takes about a minute. The clothes must be hung up to use the Aerosteam. You shouldn't hold the appliance horizontally. For me, this is a minor complaint. But given its dual function of drawing in air and emitting steam, it's not a major issue. Most of the wrinkles were gone within 3 minutes. Satisfied with this result, I enthusiastically started on the white shirt of my three-piece suit. Unfortunately, after 6 minutes, the result was still a bit disappointing. So, I went ahead with the iron. My conclusion: good for T-shirts and trousers. But not for clothes where you really don't accept wrinkles.

I've been testing this product for a while now, and it really does what it promises! First of all, the water reservoir is enough to steam a few items of clothing. I've used clothes steamers before, but this one lasts by far the longest. What's really great about this steamer is that it draws the clothes towards itself, which really keeps them taut, removing wrinkles immediately. You can adjust the suction power so you can easily de-wrinkle even heavier items. The speed at which you de-wrinkle your clothes is also excellent. It's a great appliance if you need to quickly de-wrinkle something before leaving, partly because it heats up very quickly. The cord length is also important, as it's a good length. You have enough freedom of movement to steam large items without running out of power. Finally, the design is also quite attractive for a clothes steamer. It is a bit on the large side, but that shouldn't spoil the fun.

I travel a lot, and the idea of a mobile steamer is perfect for me. I've bought steamers before, both mobile and upright (from other brands), but without the desired results. So I was skeptical, but I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised and very happy with the result. It's a high-quality appliance that can steam multiple garments with a small water tank. I took it with me on my travels, and it was so convenient! It's not heavy (2.1 kg, if I'm not mistaken). Garments do need to be hung on a hanger, including trousers with those hangers and clips. The only thing that's a bit trickier is areas like under the armpits. I also still need to learn how to make neat creases, for example, on blouse collars. The appliance has three settings for different fabric types. This removes creases from any garment quite quickly. What's even better is that the steaming process is antibacterial. Perfect for vacations. I'm very happy with this Tefal appliance. If, like me, you've had negative experiences with other steamers, I recommend giving this one a try—you won't be disappointed. This appliance will replace my iron and will go everywhere with me from now on.
