VITURE x Cyberpunk 2077 Luma Cyber XR Glasses

I had my eye on these mixed reality headsets for productivity reasons and for playing games in VR.

Great device, I really mean that, but it is really way too experimental.

I tried 4 different adapters because my desktop's USB-C can't handle video. The only cable on the Dutch market that works occasionally is the Fairikabe HDMI+USB to USB-C adapter or DisplayPort+USB to USB-C adapter. You also need a forward-to-forward USB-C adapter with that, which only works in a specific direction and orientation.

Subsequently, SpaceWalker and Immersive 3D work, but both apps are glitchy. It is supposed to work at 120Hz, but the image flickers at anything higher than 60Hz.

The app disconnects occasionally at random.

Once you have everything working and ready for VR, you enter the game, and then every game, every window, continuously minimizes...

It is impossible to work with it as a VR headset. As an extra screen, this is super cool, and the audio is pretty good too, but I find the price of €599 very high. I would rather go for a 32-inch OLED monitor.

Personally, I ultimately chose a MetaQuest for my mixed reality wants, even though camera passthrough and holograms on transparent OLED are really something else.

After using them for good 2 weeks and I am happy with them. At work I plug them in, set up an ultra wide virtual screen and it works great. Sometimes i have some issues with the screen drift but using a key combination it can be reset. So I have a big screen wherever I go! Just 2 or 3 screens. The sound is also great, not if you turn it all the way up, for me works 3/4 great. Watching movies is something else with these, it's like your personal theater!
