AEG AB71U2DG 7000

I have been used to one Miele vacuum cleaner my entire life (40 years) and the thing still works, but the cable doesn't roll up anymore, the wheels don't swivel anymore, and it makes a terrible racket.

So I thought: let me take a look at a new one, in the absolute conviction that it would be another Miele. Until I saw the parameters on Coolblue where you could filter by what you considered important. So I ticked those little boxes:

• Very good suction power;

• With a bag (because luckily I was able to skip the bagless vacuum cleaner era, as it turned out to be utter nonsense that doesn't work well; moreover, a bag costs only €0.96 each these days;

• Suitable for wooden floors because I have nothing else;

• Cable length 8+ meters;

• QUIET QUIET QUIET QUIET !!!;

• And then I even saw the option: <5kg

Great vacuum cleaner for this price. After a cordless and bagless vacuum, finally truly dust-free again: all the dust simply goes into a bag, and thanks to the good suction power, the house is clean! It does take some getting used to pulling a vacuum cleaner behind you again, but it is worth it. The extra attachments are also very nice.

Nice matte appliance; you have to assemble a few parts, but that is self-explanatory. However, the attachment doesn't stay in place. I had an AEG before this too, so I quickly pull out the cable and want to turn it on... Nothing happens... The on/off button is now in the middle of the device! Takes some getting used to. As does the button on the nozzle to switch between tiles and carpet. What positively surprised me was the suction power, especially on the carpet!
