Harman Kardon Luna 2 Bronze

The Harman Kardon Luna 2 is a compact and stylish speaker that I use at home and on the go. The built-in light gives the speaker a beautiful glow. It is a bit inconvenient that there is no play/pause button on the speaker.

Full and clear sound The speaker delivers clear and balanced sound. As a result, music sounds realistic. The speaker's volume can go very high. When I turn the volume down to two-thirds, the music already sounds powerful throughout my entire living room. Even at high volume, the sound remains full. I personally love strong bass tones. In the Harman Kardon One app, I turn up the bass using the equalizer. This allows me to enjoy rap and house music even more. Higher tones, such as instruments, sound clear. For instance, I can clearly hear the trumpet in the background of a song. With classical music from an orchestra, I can hear the different parts well, but thanks to the balanced sound, it sounds like a beautiful whole.

Elegant design The speaker has an elegant, slim design. The matte finish on the front and back gives it a luxurious look. The matte material in the middle feels soft to the touch. The control buttons are located on this section. They feel nice to the touch and are easy to press. However, I find it inconvenient that there is no play/pause button. I press both the plus and minus buttons simultaneously when I want to stop the music. There is a harder edge of soft material on the bottom, which makes the speaker stand stably. The speaker is angled slightly upwards so that I can hear the sound well when I place it on a low table. Thanks to the slim design, I can easily put the speaker in my bag.

Atmospheric light The built-in light creates a beautiful glow around the speaker. Unfortunately, the light is not bright enough, so it does not illuminate the entire room. There is a button on the speaker that allows me to quickly adjust the color of the light. I can choose from more settings in the Harman Kardon One app. In addition to the color theme, I can also adjust the brightness and the speed of the light's movements.

The brand lives up to its name. Nothing to add. Quality at a reasonable price.

The moment the box opened, my jaw dropped. A beautiful design, even better than in the photos. Connecting is also very quick and easy. But then comes the most terrible thing I have ever experienced in a speaker... no pause button. This has so many downsides. Taking your phone out of your pocket at any moment, not wanting to use your phone in the bathroom? At the beach with your phone in your bag and skipping music through the speaker? Forget it. I tried everything. Hopefully, they can fix this via a firmware update by (for example) “making the light switch multifunctional”.
