Much better than the cheaper devices where the language isn't even right or the time resets when you turn off the car. This one has a GPS chip, so the time is always correct. I find the image quality adequate. It's not like I want to review my drive afterwards, except in that one instance. An extra camera can also be connected if needed (sold separately). You stick the camera to the window and then you can aim the camera at the right spot. The small screen is very handy for that. Optionally, you can detach the camera without having to remove the adhesive strip. There is an app, but I don't use it. The camera can also record if the car is hit while parking, but for this you need a power cable that isn't switched off when the car is turned off. Unfortunately, that cable is not included.
