SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni White + Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Qwerty White

The SteelSeries Nova Pro Omni is a good gaming headset with many connectivity options. Thanks to the Arctis Nova Pro Omni GameHub, I can connect the headset to several platforms simultaneously. I do find that the leather ear cushions get warm quickly when I play for a long time, but otherwise, this is not bothersome.

First Impression

When I open the box, I see that the headset is housed in a fabric pouch with the SteelSeries logo on it. Inside the box, I see the headset, the Arctis Nova Pro Omni GameHub, 2 USB-C to USB-A cables, a pop filter, and an extra battery. The headset has a beautiful deep blue color. I find that the headset feels comfortable due to the leather material.

Easy Connection

I easily connect the GameHub to my PlayStation 5 using the USB-C to USB-A cable. What I find convenient about the GameHub is that I can connect it to up to 4 other devices. This allows me to easily switch between different platforms such as PC, Xbox, and Nintendo. With the volume knob, I can easily adjust additional settings for the audio and the microphone. Because the headset is connected to the GameHub via Bluetooth, I am not bothered by cables while playing.

I find the connection between the docking station and the headset to be good. I notice that my in-game audio sounds clear. Footsteps in games are clearly audible, especially when I set a special audio profile for this via the Arctis Companion App. Deep bass tones are also very good, and the sound as a whole is pleasant.

Good noise cancelling and clear microphone

When I put on the headset without it being connected, I already notice that the ear cushions filter out ambient noise well. When it is connected, I notice that the in-game sound is clear. Thanks to the noise cancelling, I game quietly without being disturbed by ambient noise. When I extend the microphone and speak, I hear myself very clearly. I can bend the microphone to my own preferences. So I can easily position the microphone further away from or closer to my face.

Comfortable to wear

When I put on the headset, the ear cushions are also comfortable. The ear cushions are soft and fit well around my ears. I have a small head, but even on the smallest setting, the headset stays securely in place. I also wear glasses, but this doesn't bother me when I'm wearing the headset.

Fast battery swap and good battery life What I also find convenient is that I charge the headset's second battery in the GameHub. The battery life is 30 hours. Because I swap the second battery quickly, I can keep playing longer.

I consider the SteelSeries Nova Pro Omni a good gaming headset. Thanks to the GameHub, I can easily use the headset on multiple platforms simultaneously. The noise cancelling helps me focus well on my games. Although the leather ear cushions get warm faster, I don't find this bothersome.

In terms of sound quality, this headset is absolutely top-notch. Music, movies, and games all sound great. It is also comfortable during long sessions. However, I do find that the software can sometimes be a bit overwhelming due to the many settings. Additionally, the purchase price is steep. Despite those points, I am happy with the purchase.

An excellent headset! The sound quality (Hi-Res) is incredibly good, and it remains very comfortable even after hours of gaming. The sleek design is a nice bonus. For me, the biggest plus is how smoothly the headset works with my PC and phone. With OmniPlay, I switch effortlessly between both devices, and I can even play the audio simultaneously. That works surprisingly well. The noise cancelling and the microphone (Clearcast Pro) are a clear improvement over the previous generation. Finally, it is ideal that you never have to charge it with a cable; when the battery is empty, you simply swap it for the charged backup battery (the Infinite Power system). Definitely recommended! It does come with a hefty price tag, though.
