Philips Sonicare Series 8500 HX8513/11 White

My previous toothbrush was the Diamond 8000 series, the pink one. That one also came with a hefty price tag, and I was very happy with it. I expected that if you buy a toothbrush like that at this price, you’d be set for the next 7 or 8 years, but I was probably a bit too enthusiastic, because it suddenly broke. I thought I could easily fix it, but I found out that this one doesn't open at all! It was glued shut. So then I just got this one. Also a huge price tag, but this one does open! I see that it can be loosened with a screw. So if this one breaks, I can probably repair it myself.

Otherwise, I’m very happy with it; nice color, luxury style. Sensor that indicates what I am doing right/wrong. I’m already looking forward to brushing again!

The app is OK. It could be a bit better and more interesting; after a few days, you’re already tired of it. I think the little glass that comes with it is quite nice; I just have it standing in the bathroom so the toothbrush can just sit inside and the ZN on the charger. Long battery life, so that's just like the old days.

I hope this one makes it to the 5-year mark!

First and foremost, the most important thing: this toothbrush gets your teeth super clean, and in my opinion, cleaner than manual brushing or my previous electric toothbrush. The LED also indicates if you are brushing too hard or too softly, and the strength can be adjusted, which is nice. The only downside is that the toothbrush switches itself off after a cycle. This happens sometimes when I haven't finished my entire set of teeth, which is not ideal.

The battery also lasts a full week, which is nice. Unfortunately, it has to be charged in the 'charging glass,' which takes up quite a bit more space than a normal wireless charger, like other toothbrushes have. Also, in my opinion, the toothbrush isn't very stable in it.

The app is hit-or-miss. I found it interesting for 2 days myself, and then never looked at it again. Hopefully, this doesn't consume unnecessary battery life.

Finally, the price; it is quite high. Personally, I find it a bit too expensive for what you get.

A nice electric toothbrush that I am very satisfied with so far. The battery lasts a very long time, so charging isn't necessary often. I think the charging glass looks neat, and the USB travel case is also handy for on the go. It's a shame that a USB adapter isn't included, but that wasn't a problem for me. I particularly like the different brushing modes and intensity levels; they are easy to operate and select via the brush, and the display is very clear. The pressure sensor helps prevent brushing too hard, and the timer is handy for brushing long enough. I don't use the app myself anymore, but for those who do, it is a nice extra for information. It is a toothbrush that does what you would expect from it in terms of features.
