Philips Baristina BAR700/00

I have had the Philips Baristina for a few weeks now and I am incredibly happy with it. It is a fantastic machine that allows you to enjoy delicious coffee even without barista skills. With the push of a button and a simple movement of the filter holder, the machine automatically fills with freshly ground beans, after which the brewing process starts immediately. Features and ease of use You can easily choose between an espresso, lungo, or iced coffee, and you can also easily adjust the extra coffee strength. A major plus is the two bean reservoirs, which allow you to use decaf without having to empty the entire machine. A minor drawback in terms of flexibility is that the grind size cannot be adjusted manually. Another inconvenient feature is that frothing and brewing cannot be done simultaneously. Milk frother The integrated milk frother works fully automatically with options for microfoam, thick foam, and warm milk. Here too, adjustability is limited. The frother must be cleaned after every use. That is quite a bit of work, but it does ensure beautiful, firm foam. Do keep in mind that the foam is (in my opinion) too thick for latte art. But that could also be because I'm not good at it!

Conclusion The coffee itself tastes excellent. All in all, the Baristina is a winner for anyone who wants to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee without any hassle!

A major plus of this machine, in my opinion, is the ability to make two different types of coffee, either simultaneously or independently of each other. This is ideal when you don't both drink the same coffee at home. This way, everyone can enjoy their own favorite cup without waiting unnecessarily long. Combined with the delicious coffee and ease of use, this makes the machine truly versatile for me. A great addition for coffee lovers with different tastes!

I have been using this piston machine for a few weeks now and am very satisfied with it. The water reservoir is pleasantly large, and the machine grinds the beans remarkably quietly. What I find particularly ideal is that the process is almost entirely automatic. You place the portafilter in the holder, pull it to the right, and the machine grinds the beans and fills the portafilter. Then it rotates back to the left and brews the coffee immediately. The only thing you have to do yourself is dispose of the coffee grounds.

I have tested piston machines before, but that often took a lot of time. Moreover, frothing with this machine is effortless. I did experience a malfunction occasionally, which is a shame. All in all, I consider it a reasonably good purchase.
