I find this to be a great product because feeding is automatic and consistent. The app works well and makes it easy to manage everything, even when you are not at home. The portions come out of the bowl neatly and the connection remains stable. However, you do need to take into account that the feeder always requires power. So, you can't just place it anywhere without a power outlet nearby. Additionally, it is quite large, so you really need to choose a fixed spot. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the reliability.

When it comes to a food bowl, I find it important that it is easy to clean. The Philips Smart Feeder features a stainless steel bowl that is BPA-free and dishwasher safe. The other parts can be rinsed by hand. This makes maintenance straightforward in principle.

The bowl has a 4.5-liter reservoir and is designed for dry food with kibble sizes from 2 to 12 mm. Thanks to anti-clogging technology, the system is designed to dispense food reliably.

Another handy feature is that you can schedule up to 20 meals a day via the app, with portions of up to 195 grams at a time. This allows you to tailor the feeding schedule to your cat's routine.

Notifications in the app help you keep track of scheduled meals and refilling the reservoir. You do not need a paid subscription for this.

There is no camera, so you cannot view your cat remotely. If you are primarily looking for an automatic feeder with programmable meals and practical cleaning options, this is a model to consider.

The Philips Smart Feeder is a great solution if you aren't always home to feed your pet. What I particularly like is that you can set the feeding times yourself and don't have to constantly wonder if your cat has eaten yet. Setting it up via the app is straightforward, and the reservoir is large enough so you don't have to refill it daily.

The device looks neat and doesn't take up an excessive amount of space. However, I do find it a pity that it only works with dry food. A camera would also have been handy to see if your cat is actually eating. Otherwise, it is a fine automatic feeder that makes daily feeding much easier.
