With the Makita DSS501ZJ + Makita Startset 18V LXT 3,0 Ah BL1830B/DC18RC, you can get started right away on different sawing jobs. You get a 3.0Ah battery and a battery charger. The saw blade has a diameter of 136mm. This lets you make straight cuts up to 51mm deep. Tilt the saw to the left or right and make miter cuts too. You can then saw planks up to 35mm thick. After use, you can store the machine in the included Mbox. This way, you can safely take it to another job site. The circular saw is part of the Makita LXT 18V battery platform. That means you can also use the battery on other tools and garden tools from this platform.
