With The Grounds, EA adds a new, social soccer environment to FC 27. In this open world, you can play fast matches on various fields. Choose a 1 vs 1 match, play together with others, or take on a complete team. You can share the world with up to 99 other players. Explore 3 districts that are inspired by different soccer cultures. This way, you can play soccer in the stadium as well as on the street and on squares.

In The Grounds, you can decide yourself how you play and what you look like. Meet other players, discover various soccer activities, and find your clubhouse in the central part of the world. Choose from various archetypes and use temporary boosts to make your player stronger. The Grounds is only available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. On older consoles and the Nintendo Switch, you can't play this mode.

EA gives FC 27 more control and a more realistic feel on the field. Players recognize space better and make smart runs more often. With curved runs, they try to avoid the offside trap. You can also dribble better through contact with off-balance dribbling. You get more options for corners and passes. That way, you can time runs better. On defense, the AI does less work for you. As a result, good positioning, manual defending, and doing things at the right time become more important.

The new FUT Gallery will arrive in Football Ultimate Team. In here, you can collect your player items and complete your sets to increase your Gallery Level. You can also plan Evolutions beforehand and play Live Events in singleplayer. Career Mode receives a renewed transfer market. Transfers happen in multiple steps. You negotiate about transfer moments, player trades, and new clauses. With Dynamic OVR, the rating of players changes during the season. Form, morale, fitness, and injuries affect their current rating.

EA is once again aiming for official clubs, players, and competitions. In FC 27, you can play as more than 21,000 players from over 800 clubs and national teams. You also get access to more than 130 stadiums and over 35 leagues, including the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, Bundesliga, LALIGA EA SPORTS, and several women’s competitions. In Career Mode, the Liga MX is also added. This way, you get a lot of choice and every season feels like a new soccer story.
