Which charging cable type do you need?

All new Samsung smartphone have an oval USB-C connector, but your charging cable no longer fits in every charger. Do you have a charger with an oval USB-C port? Use a USB-C to USB-C charging cable. If you have a charger with a rectangular USB-A port, use a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. For older smartphones like the Samsung S7, you have to use a charger with a USB-A port and a USB-A to micro USB charging cable.

Want an extra sturdy cable?

Do you cables break often? A nylon charging cable lasts longer than a standard plastic cable. They have a sturdy and flexible casing. That's useful if you often bend your cable and roll it up when you store it. A kevlar cable is made of a sturdy plastic and the connectors are reinforced with metal. Nylon cables are more flexible then kevlar cables.

Want more freedom of movement?

Do you need more freedom of movement when you charge your smartphone? With a 2 or 3m cable, it doesn't matter if you have a socket near your bed or couch or not. It gives you more freedom of movement than with the 1m cable that's included with your smartphone by default. Want to charge your phone while you work and is there a socket nearby? A 1.5m cable is enough.
