Aren't you sure whether you need an AEG 8000 series PowerCare or AEG 7000 series ProSteam? The load capacity is pretty much the same for both washing machine models, but the technology is different. The AEG 8000 series PowerCare spreads the detergent evenly, which results in cleaner laundry. This series is also more energy-efficient. In this article, you'll read the differences between the series.

AEG 8000 PowerCare: cleaner laundry and less wrinkles

The AEG 8000 series uses PowerCare technology. The detergent or fabric softener is dissolved in the water beforehand. As a result, the detergent is better distributed and you'll get softer, cleaner laundry. With this technology, you can also wash at lower temperatures with the same result. That way, your clothes stay in good condition for longer. Besides PowerCare, the washing machine also has ProSteam for nearly iron-free laundry. You can tell that the 8000 series does a little more than the 7000 series.

AEG 7000 ProSteam: less wrinkles

An AEG washing machine of the 7000 series has ProSteam. This function steams your clothes in the drum to smoothen them out, so they won't have as many wrinkles when the laundry is done. The cycle takes a little longer when you use the steam function, but it'll save you time on ironing. You can also use the separate steam cycle to freshen up clothes you wore for just 1 day in 25 minutes. This 7000 series doesn't have PowerCare, a technology the 8000 series has.
