In the video, we'll give a step-by-step explanation on how to make your machine ready for use. We wrote down every step on this page. We'll go through these steps with you:
- Step 1. Connect the machine
- Step 2. Set up the water hardness
- Step 3. Set up the water filter
- Step 4. Rinse the machine
You need:
- Water hardness test strip
- Water filter with attachment
- 1L container
- Coffee beans
Step 1: connect the coffee machine
- Take the foil from the machine.
- Take the booklet from the bean hopper.
- Put the connector in the socket.
- Press the on/off button and turn on the machine.
Step 2: adjust the water hardness
- Take the water hardness test strip.
- Fill a glass with tap water.
- Dip the test strip in the water briefly.
- Wait 1 minute for the result. The number of red squares indicates the water hardness.
- Press the button with the small coffee cup.
- Make sure there are as many coffee beans on the display as there are red squares on the test strip. Use the button with the coffee bean.
- The machine saves this automatically.
Step 3: set the water filter
- Set up the water filter right away. If all is well, the display shows symbols of the water filter and water tank.
- Take the water tank from the machine and rinse it with water.
- Fill the water tank with water up to the 'max' line.
- Take the water filter and click the attachment on the water filter.
- Place the water filter in the full water tank. Click the attachment into the water tank.
Step 4: rinse the machine
- Place the container under the coffee outlet and put the water tank back into the machine.
- The machine automatically recognizes that you placed the water filter.
- The machine rinses for a few minutes.
- If the icons don't blink anymore, you can empty the drip tray and container. Only place the drip tray back afterwards.
- Fill the bean grinder with fresh coffee beans.
- The machine is now ready for use.
