5 tips for using your SodaStream

With your SodaStream,m you can make sparkling water in an environmentally-friendly way. You can determine the amount of carbon dioxide in your water yourself, and you can add a flavor. So you alway shave your favorite soda on hand. But how does a SodaStream work exactly? In this article, we'll give you 5 useful tips that'll help you get started.

Tip 1: cool the water in advance

If you cool tap water beforehand, it can absorb the carbon dioxide better. As a result, you don't have to add as much carbon dioxide for the right amount of bubbles. Make sure you always have a bottle of water in the fridge, for example. That way, you always have cold water.

Tip 2: click the cylinder into place

You can easily click the cylinder onto the back of the machine. You first have to remove the plastic and cap from the cylinder. Open the back panel and lift the pink handle. Place the cylinder in the machine and push the lever down to lock the cylinder. Finally, replace the back panel.

Tip 3: fill the bottle with water up to the mark

Fill the bottle with water only. You can add the flavor after the carbon dioxide has been added. When you add carbon dioxide to the water, the water in the bottle rises. Fill the water up to the 'Max' line in the bottle so it doesn't overflow or start leaking. Make sure the bottle is full enough for the tube to reach the water.

Tip 4: secure the bottle properly

Pull the bottle holder forward at an angle. Note: don't pull the tube, but the holder. Then, click the bottle firmly onto the holder. Make sure the tube is in the water. Is it hanging above the water? The bottle probably isn't secured properly. You'll have to press it a bit more. Push the bottle back and add sparkling water to your water.

You have attach the SodaStream DUO differently. Turn the lever to the right to unlock the machine. The top of the holder slides up and the bottom part comes forward, so you can easily insert the bottle. Put the bottom with the bottle back in and close the holder again. Hold the sparkling head and turn the handle to the left, locking it in place. Your SodaStream DUO is now ready for use.

Tip 5: add carbon dioxide to your taste

You can add a shot by pressing the button or lever a few times. The more often you do this, the more sparkle you'll get in your water. The SodaStream E-TERRA has 3 automatic sparkling programs. This way, you get the right amount of carbon dioxide for your sparkling water at the touch of a button.
