You can use a jigsaw for all sorts of sawing jobs. Especially for cutting curves and circles, creating rounded edges, or making cutouts, a jigsaw is a smart choice. The maximum saw depth differs per jigsaw, so think about the type of jobs you want to take on in advance. You can also choose between a jigsaw with a D handle and a T handle. Are you doing overhead work, such as in the ceiling? We recommend a T handle. You can saw in wood, plastic, or sheet material, as long as you attach a suitable saw blade to the jigsaw.
