Fast charging with your power bank
The power in watt determines how fast your power bank charges. With 20 to 30W, you can charge many smartphones quickly. With fast charging, the battery of your smartphone is often charged for 50% within half an hour. Without fast charging, this takes about twice as long. For tablets and small laptops, choose at least 45W. If you want to charge most laptops, go for 60 to 65W. For large or demanding laptops, you need 100W or more.
Wireless power banks: MagSafe and Qi2
You can attach a wireless power bank to the back of your phone with magnets and without a cable. MagSafe is the technology from Apple for the iPhone 12 and newer. Qi2 does the same thing, but also works with Android. With an iPhone or Google Pixel, you can attach the power bank directly. With a Samsung Galaxy, you need a magnetic phone case. You usually charge with 15W wirelessly, and with up to 25W with the latest Qi2.3 (Qi2 25W). Want to charge the fastest? Use a cable, because this is faster than wireless charging.

The amount of capacity determines how often you can charge your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. You can charge your smartphone with power banks of up to 10,000mAh. With 20,000mAh power banks, you can charge your tablet as well. You choose a 27,000mAh power bank or higher to charge your laptop.
Which power bank is allowed on the plane?
You can bring your power bank on the plane if the capacity is less than 27,000mAh. Bring it in your carry-on luggage, because power banks aren't allowed in checked luggage.
