"nearly plug & play and does the trick cheaper than a devolo"

By Carsten Engel on 6 January 2019

  • Pros:
    easy to install
  • Pros:
    connects on 5ghz
  • Pros:
    Not too expensive
  • Pros:
    cheaper than a devolo
  • Con:
requires download & installation of drivers
  • Con:
    doesn't work on USB 3.0

Just plug it into a USB 2 drive. Not USB 3.0 - won't work.
Cheaper than a Devolo system.
Requires to install a driver (comes with a CD but who still uses that ?)
Achieved close to 90mb/s in download and 30 mb/s in upload. My internet provider let's me download max 120 mb/s with an ethernet cable. Thus pretty good.
