According to our PC speaker expert
The Edifier Luna Eclipse 2.0 Speakers White are wireless 2.0 speakers that make a connection via Bluetooth. You can play music from your smartphone, laptop, tablet, or desktop with the push of a button. This system has an active speaker, which means that the speaker has an integrated amplifier and doesn't need a separate amplifier to produce sound. You can adjust the speaker set with touch buttons on the front of the device. This allows you to adjust the volume, pause the current song, or select the next. Another option is the wireless remote, which you receive with the Edifier Luna Eclipse 2.0 Speakers White. The audio inputs make it possible to connect external sources such as a TV, console, or media center. The Edifier Luna Eclipse 2.0 Speakers White are suitable for listening to music, watching movies, and gaming.

It costs something, but then you have something. Perfect sound and beautiful design, in short, highly recommended! On the internet you will find reviews that 'complain' about high tones that are too shrill. With my average audiophile raised Rock & Metal ears I don't notice this at all. Also, some reviewers find the bass a bit thin. Well, you cannot compare these speakers with your 5.1 700 Watt home cinema. As far as I'm concerned, there really is no need for a subwoofer. Excellent full and deep bass for a 2.0 speaker set. At medium volume it already starts to vibrate enough. Although it is not an earthquake level of course. Mids and highs are crystal clear. Combine these speakers with a DAB radio and you'll get through your day at the office just fine. Enneh, if you hear your boss shouting something in the distance, then enough volume comes out so that you only hear music. Too bad you can only give 5 stars ;-)

I've owned these speakers for a few months now. Top product. First used as PC speakers. But the bass reproduction is so powerful and unadjustable that the speakers on my desk sometimes resonate. In addition, they are actually too close to each other behind the monitor at about 90 cm from each other. In other words, they didn't come into their own there. I got the idea to connect them to the TV instead of a soundbar. And that's really great!. The speakers are now further apart and that gives a nice sound with music via the Apple TV. Movies and series also play perfectly. Powerful bass. Nicely detailed sound. A cheap soundbar cannot compete with this. Recommended!

Bought this set of speakers to replace my almost 10 year old Creative T40 set that broke down.
The most important thing I look for when buying desktop speakers is the presence of a tweeter. Most sets under 100 euros have none and this is almost always a disadvantage for the sound quality. The Edifiers are a bit more pricey but given the nice look I thought it was ok.
These speakers are phenomenal in my opinion. I can now enjoy a whole range of music that I didn't listen to before because the sound got on my nerves (even on a much more expensive home cinema set in my living room). The Edifiers produce a crystal clear sound with a very wide stereo image. Depending on the recording, you can clearly place the instruments and voices. They go loud too, VERY loud and you wouldn't think the bass that these things produce is possible if you had other similar speakers before (without a subwoofer). The bass is controlled and tight.
Let's get to the downsides. The bass is indeed tight, but this is largely dependent on your placement. The speakers need some space around. I first placed them on the back of my desk next to my monitor but this was wrong (which most people probably intend). Especially the bass sounded "boomy" and cheap. as it turned out, there was so much bass that my table top vibrated. I moved the speakers to the corners of the table (so they were right above the table legs) and about 20cm from the wall. What a difference! The bass was immediately very tight and they sounded 10x better. I also had to use the equalizer in Windows to adjust the sound to my taste. Much change was not necessary, but the fact that you cannot do this on the set itself is a disadvantage. Sound quality over bluetooth is significantly less than wired.
If the sound was only moderate, the design and finish would have been worth the asking price. If you like music like me, but don't want to spend 500 euros+ on desktop speakers and like the design, you will be very happy with this set!
