According to our blender expert
With the automatic programs you can prepare soup, purees, and chop up ingredients.
The speed increases gradually while you're mixing hot ingredients, so the hot liquid won't fly around.
Thanks to the extra power provided by the pulse function, you can blend your ingredients thoroughly.
Over time, a plastic pitcher will absorb colors, odors, and flavors. As a result, it doesn't last as long as a glass pitcher.
With the KitchenAid Diamond 5KSB1585EVB Blue Velvet you can process warm ingredients thanks to the heat-resistant blender jar. This also happens to be extra safe, because the speed builds up slowly and therefore the hot ingredients do not shoot into the air. With the automatic programs you chop ingredients, mix warm food and crush ice cubes. With the pulse position you mix briefly with extra power. You use this, for example, for stubborn pieces that are difficult to mix. After use you can easily clean the blender jar in the dishwasher. A handy tip if you don't have a dishwasher; put warm water with some washing-up liquid in the blender and let it mix for 30 seconds.

Blender performance
I wouldn't buy these again. Always had Philips and very satisfied. But because the mixing bowl is not fixed properly, it is not good to work. The pulse mode for ice cream is also very slow.

I bought this blender because I already have a few other Kitchenaid retro appliances. Be careful with the lid because it is not dishwasher safe --> disadvantage.
In the cup I mixed carrot soup. Because this cup is made of plastic, it has turned completely orange. Have already had to return it 2x and this will probably have to happen in the future due to inferior quality. So don't buy, unless you want to occupy yourself with walking to the post every other day.

Birthday present for my wife. She is completely happy with it. Somewhat noisy but works great. And so beautiful that it can stay on the counter.
