According to our router expert
SMART WiFi software allows you to see, manage, and check devices in your network.
Thanks to the 1.6GHz Dual-Core processor and 512MB storage, this router can handle even the biggest of tasks with ease.
Use PSK WiFi security to set a password once for all the users of your WiFi network.
To benefit from the highest speed that this router offers, all connected devices have to support 5GHz.
The Linksys WRT1900ACS is very suitable for demanding users looking for a fast home network for their computer, media player, 4K TV, laptop, tablet, smartphone, and other WiFi devices. The router features a faster processor and more RAM than its predecessor, the Linksys WRT1900AC. This results in better wired and wireless performance. With the SMART WiFi software, it's easy to manage your network and see which devices are connected.
After testing many routers from Netgear and Apple, this ACS router from Linksys appears to work the best. Both in terms of range and throughput speed. The latter has really improved a lot. Sending large files to my NAS is insanely fast compared to the Airport extreme I had before. I now have two of these routers. 1 of them as the main router issuing the DHCP addresses and 1 as a wired bridge. It takes a while to find out how to set that up, but with the chat support of Linksys I managed to get it right.
