The arm hangs stably and changing position is very smooth provided the microphone is sufficiently heavy and/or used in combination with a shock mount.

moves smoothly arrives well packaged and can easily hang on a thicker sized desk, works well with multiple types of microphones, only if you don't have much space on your desk make room or buy a large desk but that speaks for itself with this system

I love this tripod! I have a red nt usb microphone, and I had problems with the tripod. When I wanted good sound, it got in the way of my keyboard. With this tripod you keep your microphone away from the desk. The arm can move in many different places. This way you can position your microphone horizontally, vertically and in many other ways. My desk has metal bars under the desk, which makes it very difficult for me to find a good spot. On the other hand, if I've found a good spot, it's a lot easier. Then I screw on the clamp, put the arm in and put the microphone on the arm.
