According to our television expert
With the Sony KD-55XE9005, you'll enjoy clear and smooth image display. This 4K TV has a 100Hz refresh rate. This way there's no lag on-screen during rapid movement. That's handy if you enjoy playing games or watching sports or action movies. The 10-bit panel makes the TV suitable for displaying HDR video. The wide color range and high contrast make the images look extra realistic. Connect the TV to the internet and you'll get access to games, apps, or web sites. A remote control with voice control is included. This makes it easy for you to switch between all types of entertainment.

Update after a week of using this fantastic TV.
This TV is also known for the 900E in England and is already an OLED killer there (see YouTube). OLED is much more likely to burn-in, which is why my choice, and because this TV is 100 hz, 900nits brightness (that's against premium 4k, and direct LED light!
The TV has a great interface for the techie and someone who just wants to turn on TV and watch. What I encountered myself is that the default settings are ultimately the most natural, despite having tried a few settings of you tube channels. There are a lot of possibilities with this TV but after a few changes of image you can get lost like me and have set it back to basic and maybe later to slightly different (custom) settings.
Only thing that could be is that the blue predominates (according to experts) slightly but that can be removed in the advance settings (first watch you tube before you do what)
The colors really pop, but can be so sharp that it gets a bit too much, especially in the evening, but it is possible, for example, for nitendo games or people who like bright colors. If you want, you can watch channels on you tube that squeeze the most out of the TV and then it blows off your screen!
I use the sport setting for gaming (call of duty, resident evil ect) and standard and movie home for movies during the day and the evening and that looks very nice and is even of plasma quality.
What also strikes me is that everything goes without hitches, interface is super and nicely set up with built-in 4k chromecast (normally costs 80 euros) and netflix and a real android google playstore built in! (philips does not have a real android !!)
Wifi is even 5 gig and ac, and my tip is that hdmi 2 and 3 are only suitable for 4k 60 fr. Activate these in menu entries of the menu !! 1 and 4 are not suitable for 4k input like xbox one s.
The viewing angle is a bit less but not super disturbing, and the ab keys could be a bit better, but if you look at the TV again and how it upscaled a 1080p image to 4k, for example, everything makes up for it. tip... don't buy too small, because a 55 inch can easily be done at 3 more distance, because a 4k by 49 inch or smaller does not make sense anyway. If you buy it, place the TV with 2 men (woman). good luck!

We have had this TV for our house (student house) for almost 2 months now. I can tell you in one word that this TV is the perfect TV, don't you know what to buy? Look no further because this is IT.
Picture is fantastic, with a wide range of movies tested, from action movies to animated movies with vibrant colors, everything is crystal clear and can be seen very accurately due to the many pixels this screen has.
In the field of multimedia, this TV is also an all-rounder, streaming at the highest quality is without problems, and switching between applications is also flawless. We have also extensively tested the game mode with friends :) EVERYTHING works at 60 FPS or higher, in short, ideal for when you have friends over at home and you want to play a game of Battlefield together ;)
I say go for it!

We initially went for the 49" variant, but at the last minute we ordered the 55". No regrets whatsoever regarding the size. What a screen! It went really fast. Image quality is more than excellent for our purposes, football and movies/series. We had a 42" Sony from the W8 series before and I liked it very much. We took a look at Samsung, but we find the natural image of the Sony more pleasant to look at. A step bigger and a thinner brim. Delicious! The difference within Netflix between HD and 4K content is especially visible when the image is detailed. E.g. a shot of a city. Very cool.
In the first 2 weeks I still had far from all options and I probably won't use them all at all. What I have used works like a charm. Android responds nicely and apps like Youtube and Netflix also load quickly. It took some playing to get the right color settings. The pre-programmed settings were a bit too far apart for me, so I made my own setup. Doable, but takes some time. The remote control is simple but effective, although some buttons are just in a different place than with the previous Sony.
Everything great yoppie? No, of course not because there is a plug. I had to turn the TV off and on twice because I only had sound and no picture. Could also be the CI+, but I didn't have it before. Haven't seen the problem for the last few days. Had a challenge with shocking images within Netflix. Solved this by disabling Motionflow in the options while Netflix was running. Audio on the device. Secretly tested it and it is a bit better than with the previous TV, but it remains a subordinate part. I don't really want to call it a problem because with which "flat" TV is this home cinema worthy?
In any case, in my opinion, these issues are negligible in the positive aspects.
