According to our mobile phone expert
The camera of the Samsung Galaxy S9 allows you to take the sharpest photos in any situation, dark or light. Thanks to the variable aperture, you can determine how much light the single camera lets through. Then there's the slow-mo video, which can be recorded at 960 frames per second, so you can see every detail of your tennis battle or that waterfall on vacation. Processing such images is not an issue at all for the powerful processor and the 4GB of RAM. As a result, the S9 can handle demanding apps without any problems. The Quad HD resolution also gives you a razor-sharp image. With 5.8 inches, the S9 is relatively compact, so the device fits well in your pocket or hand. The 3000mAh battery supports both fast charging and wireless charging.
Note: This model doesn't support NL Alert. This device can't be registered for promotions either.

I switched from the iPhone 7. This took some getting used to as I was no longer used to Android. Now a week later and after some grumbling I am used to it. I would advise switchers to put away the iPhone completely and give Android a fair chance. In the beginning it is quite frustrating if you don't know where to look. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming.
Over the phone: The phone fits well in the hand. Beautiful screen.
The phone itself could have been a little shorter because I can't reach everything with one hand now. You can set a shortcut to make your screen smaller, but I'd rather not need this. The S9 is big enough for me. The + version would be too big for me.
I would have preferred the volume buttons a little lower, because I regularly unintentionally press the Bixby button. But this is just a matter of getting used to it I hope.
What works really well is the fingerprint scanner. Beforehand, a fingerprint scanner on the back of a phone seemed very inconvenient to me, but this is actually quite natural because your index finger already rests on the back of the phone when you pick it up. I've captured several prints and so far it always works. I can't tell if it's super fast. At least it works fast enough for me.
I haven't set up Bixby yet, so I can't say much about that.
The new Animation emoji you can make of yourself doesn't work great. Nice to play with once, but I don't think it will be used much if Samsung doesn't work this out better.
I am also very happy that I can use my headphones again without an adapter. I can't say much about sound. Not yet used.
The option of expandable memory or Dual Sim is also very nice.
Battery life is yet to be seen. So far I can easily get through the day with it, but this is of course different for each user.
What I find really handy is that you can quickly capture pieces of your screen with the selection tools of the edge menu. I can quickly cut a piece of screen and immediately send it with whatsApp. It's really easy to use and I use it quite often.
The only downside that I haven't found a solution for yet and that someone might be able to help me with: On the iPhone, I could scroll back in the browser by swiping right. This was ideal, but here it works with a back button. Can I set this up somewhere? And I'm also looking for an app that works just as easily as Notes on the iPhone.
Long story short. It took some getting used to, but I'm happy with the switch and the many possibilities.

I switched from Apple to this Samsung. I couldn't believe my luck when it turned out that all data and apps from my Apple were flawlessly transferred to the Samsung. Coming from the boarded-up Apple, it takes a while to find the enormous arsenal of possibilities that Android/Samsung offers. But you get used to it quickly and it gets a bit more pleasant every time. After almost a week of daily use, I've almost forgotten about Apple and don't want to go back.
