After hesitating for a long time between DIY or ready-made, I went for the HP Omen X 900-200nd. Despite its hefty price tag, I am very happy with it. Lack of time for self-build also played a role here.
On the day of delivery I didn't know where to look, a box almost as sturdy and large as a medium sized refrigerator that just popped into my house. With his more than 30 kg that could almost have been right!
After an hour of unpacking, I was able to lift the Omen out of its boxes with (fairly) difficulty and put it away in its permanent place. Connecting it isn't anything special either, but when you're ready and the Omen starts up... Incredibly spectacular. You imagine yourself in a spaceship with the LED lighting and the spectacular view through the glass side. In combination with the Corsair K95 RGB keyboard, the party is complete.
Booting is incredibly fast with its water-cooled Intel Core i9 processor, 32GB ram and 512GB NVMe SSD drive! The expandable video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti is also a real pleasure for 3D applications, Virtual Reality, mathematical calculations or of course for gaming! With its extra 3TB of storage, you don't have to worry about running out of storage space. You can always add extra disks in it, because there is a separate space reserved in the case for extra disks. This so that the cooling is optimal, and there is of course enough space in such a large cabinet!
Are you unsure about the Omen? If you're willing to spend a little extra for its good looks and imposing appearance, the Omen is just the thing for you. You also get a lot of fun in return.
