Taking the A8 out of the box feels like you're holding a $1000 phone in your hands. And even now, after more than 3 months of use, I still have that same feeling. The phone is heavier than many other Samsung phones. In fact, I think it is currently the heaviest Samsung phone they sell. This gives a very premium feel when you hold it. It can be a bit irritating if you have to hold the phone for a long time. The glass on the back curves to the aluminum edge on the side, making the phone comfortable to hold. I eventually decided to put a case on the phone, because the glass back is a fingerprint magnet. Also, don't be fooled by the term 'Gorilla Glass', as I already have a lot of small scratches on the screen.
