Edifier R1700BT 2.0 PC Speaker

If my PC has been in sleep mode, the Edifiers wake up again to listen to the neighbors Bluetooth, while my PC sends the signal through the fixed Line-in. I find this super silly. Why not a line in/bluetooth/auto selector switch. Now I have to teach those speakers mores a dozen times a day. This is all the more annoying because they are otherwise beautiful speakers.

Wow...what an upgrade! I connected them to the side and threw my old PC speakers (creative inspire 280) a long way away!! So yeah... Very satisfied. I should mention that I did not see the dimensions anywhere in the product specification. For information, the boxes are 16 cm wide, 20 cm deep (bottom) and 25 cm high (front).

Delivery: As usual from Coolblue: Fast and well packaged. The speakers: Recently I bought a set of R2700BT speakers to play music at home via Bluetooth. We use Androud at home, after reading the Sonos users about the exclusively negative experiences of the Android apps, we quickly decided to look for another system. Edifier stood out about the good user experiences. We wanted to do it via Bluetooth and not Wi-Fi, in order to get around having to install additional app or software (with the limitations like those with Sonos). I am surprised about the sound quality, very good for the small units and housing. However, I'm missing a few things that cost little extra in terms of manufacturing process, but would make the set much better so that Edifier could just sell even more of it. -A detachable power cord would be nice -A subwoofer output, really increasing versatility - The remote really doesn't match the high quality of the rest of the set: expected a decent one. -The cable to the other speaker is really short. Supply an extension cable or replace the connector with normal loudspeaker (screw) clamps so that the setup is not hindered by the short cable. I have now solved the lack of the subwoofer connection by using an external bluetooth receiver and connected the subwoofer via a Y-adapter. Again, a really perfect sound especially for this price, excellent build quality. As far as I'm concerned a Sonos killer. Recommended!
