Bought as a "travel companion" for regular trips. I'm happy with it, it's comfortable, not too heavy. I was a little worried that the braces on your neck would be a pain, but it's not too bad, even with a shirt on. The noise cancellation is reasonable. Especially in the low tones (hum of an airplane engine) it does quite well. You can still hear people talking around you. If you want real noise cancellation you will have to look for over-the-ear headphones, they really do a lot better. Sound quality is good. Much better than my standard earpiece that comes with the phone, not as good as a hi-end set. Battery life is more or less as stated, so around 8 hours with ANC on. The device I have now has some problems with cracking when I turn on the ANC. I'll keep an eye on that, otherwise I'll test the warranty ;) All in all, these headphones do exactly what I bought them for. Portable, non-existent headphones that I can take with me every day. With ANC but accepted that this is not at the Bose's level.
