Sirui SH-15 Video Tripod Kit

Needed a tripod suitable for video recording that could rotate in smooth movements, i.e. with a liquid head. This tripod does it all very smoothly, is quickly set up, and does not weigh too much so that it is easy to carry in the supplied carrying bag.

I use this tripod with a spotting scope, and it's ideal for that. As far as I can tell, the build quality is excellent. All parts look robust. It's stable, and vibrations are quickly dampened. The pan resistance is nicely adjustable and smooth. The tilt resistance isn't adjustable, but it's a good compromise. The QR plate is nice and large and sturdy, and secured against detaching. It would have been even better if it had been an ARCA Swiss. The feature for leveling the head without having to fiddle with the legs when working on uneven ground is very handy. Portrait mode with a camera isn't included. It's a bit on the large and heavy side for travel, though. For my type of use, this tripod is absolutely perfect. The price is certainly not outrageous. Mine was even cheaper because of a second chance with an open box.
